When booking your guest room, please mention the Society of Competitive Intelligence Professionals or SCIP room block to receive the discounted room rate. Pricing: a single room is $213 single/double occupancy, per room/per night plus a 13.38% tax and occupancy charge of $3.50 per room. Triple occupancy is $233, per room/per night plus a 13.38% tax and occupancy charge of $3.50 per room. Quad occupancy can not be accommodated at the Marriott.
SCIP has booked a limited number of rooms for this event. The deadline date to guarantee the SCIP special pricing for the guest rooms is April 8, 2007. After that date, the special SCIP room rates are no longer guaranteed and once the block of rooms are reserved SCIP is not held responsible for the room rates quoted.
All reservation requests will require a credit card guarantee, a 1 nights deposit to confirm the room reservation.
My company or someone in my company is a member. Can I get a member rate?
The member rate only applies to individuals who are members. SCIP only recognizes individual memberships, not corporate memberships. However, we do have i.e. Group discounts available. For information on group discounts please contact Trenita Dickey, +1.703.739.0696 x101 or tdickey@scip.org
Does the non-member conference rate include SCIP membership?
No, but you can join SCIP now and register for the conference as a member. The join fee for membership is US$295. Membership benefits will extend for twelve months from the date that your registration is processed.

What is the fee for the 2 day conference?

- Half Day $495 (mbr) $790 (non member)
What qualifies me for the Academic/Government rate for the conference?
- Academic – i.e. Professor of a University
- Government – i.e. Works for a Government Agency
What is the cancellation policy?
All requests for refunds must be in writing. For requests received within 72 hours of registration, no cancellation fee will be incurred. Should you be unable to attend for any reason, please inform us IN WRITING no later than 21 days prior to the start date of the event. A credit voucher for the full registration amount will be issued or, if requested, cash refund, less a 20% cancellation fee. No refunds or credits will be given for cancellations received less than 22 days prior to the event start date. There are no exceptions to these policies.
SCIP reserves the right to cancel any SCIP07 pre and/or post-conference workshops due to low registrations. Workshops with total paid registrations less than 12 will be considered for cancellation on March 26, 2007.
If your workshop is cancelled, SCIP offers the following options:
1. You may select another workshop. If the cost of the new workshop is higher, you will be charged the rate difference. If the cost is lower, you may apply the credit to another workshop(s) or request a refund.
2. All requests for refunds must be in writing. You can email your request to tdickey@scip.org or fax at 703.739.2524 Attention: Trenita Dickey.
